Is it free to use SIFIX?
Yes. Asking for a quote through SIFIX is free and there's no obligation to go ahead. If you decide to book the work, you agree the price with the tradesperson and pay them directly, not SIFIX.
Which parts of Berkshire do you cover?

What kinds of jobs can you help with?

With the tradesperson. SIFIX is a matching service: we pass your request to one independent local tradesperson who covers your postcode, and they contact you, quote and do the work themselves. Any agreement about the job is between you and them.
What happens after I send my request?
We look for a vetted tradesperson who covers your postcode and does that kind of work. When we find one, they contact you directly to talk the job through, give you a quote and book a time that suits you. You're free to say no if the quote isn't right for you.
What should I do in an emergency?
If you smell gas, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999, day or night. For a burst pipe, turn off the water at your stopcock first. For anything electrical that's sparking, smoking or wet, keep away and switch off at the consumer unit if it's safe to do so.
